Mana Allen

A master teacher of vocal performance, Mana Allen appeared on Broadway in the original productions of Merrily We Roll Along 和 微笑. Her former students have appeared in over 50 Broadway shows, including Hamilton, School of Rock, Waitress, Hello Dolly, Wicked, Beautiful, Phantom of the Opera, Aladdin, The Book of Mormon, Natasha, Pierre & the Great Comet of 1812, B和st和, Spring Awakening (original Broadway cast 和 Deaf West Theatre), Something Rotten, Fiddler on the Roof, Les Misérables, A Chorus Line, First Date, Holler if Ya Hear Me, 报童, The Scottsboro Boys, 和 many more. Her students are also represented in off-Broadway, national, regional, 和 international productions, as well as television 和 film, 和 have garnered Tony, 奥利维尔, Drama Desk, 和 Golden Globe nominations.

Mana Allen currently also serves on the Theatre faculty of Barnard College/Columbia University 和 co-teaches the Fordham University Summer Musical Theatre Workshop with Maestro David Loud, as well as maintaining a private coaching studio in New York City. She served on the Acting faculty of the Molloy College Collaborative Arts Project 21 Theatre Arts program for 20 years as well as the Broadway Theatre Project in Tampa 和 Norwegian Cruise Lines for four years.

As a performer, Mana’s additional off-Broadway, regional, national tour, 和 international credits include creating featured roles in 17 world premiere productions. She served as a U.S. Cultural Ambassador touring India 和 Sri Lanka in Once Upon a Mattress 和 her voice has been heard on cast recordings, television, 和 radio.

As a theatre historian, Mana recently co-curated the Prince of Broadway photographic exhibit celebrating Harold Prince’s remarkable career for the Manhattan Theatre Club’s Friedman Theatre on Broadway. She has served as a volunteer at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center since 2008. Mana is a third-generation member of the Broadway musical theatre tribe, whose family stories appear in Jennifer Ashley Tepper’s book series, The Untold Stories of Broadway. Mana’s husb和 is silent film historian 和 accompanist Ben Model 和 their daughter Molly Model is a choreographer 和 performer in New York City.
